       Performance Classes

Voice

Diction classes.  Learn and perform 8-10 songs in weekly class and occasional recital with correct diction, translation understanding, musical style, poise and stage deportment.  Years 3 & 4 German & French, and Years 5 & 6 Renaissance to Classical Repertoire & Romantic to Present Repertoire

Instrumental

Performance Classes Weekly classroom solo performances of appropriate literature, learning correct articulation, musical style, poise and stage deportment

Chamber Music (for strings and piano)

Groups by age, ability, and instrumentation by audition.  Weekly coachings from EPCoM Faculty, perform in recitals and master classes throughout the year.  Chamber music is essential for the growth o any young musician.  Students will learn tu become better listeners and sensitivity to different styles of music

El Paso Conservatory String Quartet

Chosen through audition to represent the EPCoM as the El Paso Conservatory Honors String Quartet, an ensemble which will perform throughout the year at various venues throughout El Paso.  Pre-formed groups and non-EPCoM students are welcome to apply

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


About EPCoM

The Mission: EPCoM is to improve the quality of musical performance and preparation of youth and adults by offering comprehensive professional musical training to the greater southwest region of West Texas, Southern New Mexico and Northen Mexico.

The History: The El Paso Conservatory of Music and Community Music School, founded in 2004, has expanded its faculty and musical offerings to the residents of El Paso. School Director Prentice Loftin credits the fast growth to its dedication to providing convenient, top quality and comprehensive instruction to its students, as well as its central, and now Westside, easily accessible location.
